Heaven Bound, but No Earthly Good

My son said to me a couple of weeks ago that if he was not already a Christian he would probably not want anything to do with it based on so many ‘Christian’ posts on Facebook.  As a parent you grieve when you hear something like that.  Are you the type of Christian that is hell-bent on judging rather than loving?  Are you ‘liking’ posters and post on Facebook that are judging rather than loving? What kind of picture are you painting of Christ?  Christians are called to spread the Good News, to bring tidings of great joy, be disciples of Christ.  My prayer is that we, as Christians will begin to paint a picture of Christ with our words and our ‘likes’ that is worthy of the God we serve.  That’s when a ‘revival’ will happen and there will be no stopping it.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

If He rules the world with truth and grace, so should we.  God is love, God is good, God is just, God is at work.  Trust.  Don’t be so heaven-bound that you create no earthly good.  Be light & salt.  Be attractive by being like Christ.
