Unexpected loss…

imagesI have been working (really, volunteering) as a CASA now for almost 1 year. I cannot say a whole lot about my particular case (but check out the link as there is always a need), or post any photos, due to confidentiality. I can say this year has been relatively easy as far as CASA cases go. My assignment is and has been a joy. Little ones change so much over the course of a year. Today, during a visit, my heart was aching just a little knowing I will not be seeing these little tinies on a regular basis very soon. Maybe not at all. When a case is officially over, the ball is completely in their park.

Unexpected feelings of loss are a bit overwhelming. These special ones will always be in my prayers. May the Lord bless them and keep them and cause his face to shine upon them and be gracious unto them.
